Lyndhurst Bridge, circa 1912; courtesy of M. O’Connor: R.O.L.L. Heritage Photo Album, LACAC, Plate 202 Charles Street & Lyndhurst Bridge: pedestrians and a buggy driven by Charles O’Connor of Long Point.. Photographer unknown. The bridge was constructed in 1857, and had major restoration in 1986 after locals opposed its demolition. Designated Heritage structure.

Prosser: E 008.5.002P LTIHS Photo Collection The Thousand Islands International Bridge System was a joint construction project of Canada and the U.S.A, consisting of six bridges: 3 Canadian structures - a suspension bridge, a steel arch span, a Warren truss span, then 2 granite-faced concrete arch bridges (the second built in 1959) which straddle the border, over the waters of the rift, and after a pleasant 6.5 km highway drive across Wellesley Island, the final span, the U.S. suspension bridge. It was formally opened by Prime Minister William L.M. King and President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Provincial Significance.

Rideau Queen, 1910 postcard: 2022-005-A-003 Eleanor Wyatt. The ship was built in Kingston and in the early 1900s was one of several luxury passenger steamers operating on the Rideau Canal. The canal opened in 1831 and as a village developed, a connecting bay to the canal was cleared, and a wharf constructed, Seeley’s Bay became the only port in the township on the canal.

Front of Escott Town Hall & Springfield House, both constructed in 1871: Photo by Robert Burtch. The first floor of the town hall was used for council meetings and as an office space until 2000. The upper storey was funded by and used only briefly by the Masons, Macoy Lodge #242. The building became the home of Leeds and the Thousand Islands (LTI) Archives in 2010. Springfield House was built as an inn which functioned for only a few years and then for about ninety years it was a private residence owned by sucessive members of the Andress family. Purchased by the Township in 1978, it was refurbished in 1982 with much fundraising and volunteer labour. It was then a public library, museum, and archives space. The Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands undertook significant restoration of both buildings and the property in 2025. A Designated Heritage Property
